a day in the life of pecos

Sept 2008- We've had nice weather lately and Pecos has been enjoying every moment of it. When we ride in the evenings he usually participates but then he has some fun splashing in the water trough and filling it with rocks. Too much fun!

a cowboy goes to the circus

The Shriner's circus was passing through town so Pecos had to check it out of course. It was at the fairgrounds so naturally he thought we were going to a stock show. Well, it was stock of a different kind.....he's still trying to figure out why the elephants were so big and the horses were so small.

He had his first encounter with cotton candy- a little confused by it at first but he loved to show us how it had melted on his tongue.

We had a great time but I think he still prefers a rodeo.

sprinkler time!!

Don't you remember those fun summer days of playing in the sprinkler? Pecos loves to play with his Pablo sprinkler but he REALLY loves to fill a bucket with water and then deliver it to the watering bowl for the cats. He is so helpful! Check out those legs he inherited from his dad.

bedtime story

Sept 14, 2008- Pecos loves a bedtime story. Last night he decided to read himself a story but instead of getting a book off of his bookshelf he went for Casey's Western Horseman magazine, read it for about 10 minutes, then he was ready for bed!!! It is always a mad rush when either Western Horseman or America's Horse magazine come in the mail. We may have to start getting two subscriptions for each one so they'll each have their own copy.
