{dump} truckin'

January 2012- We had a mild day back in late January, so we took advantage of the sunshine and spent some time playing in the yard.  We LOVE our green rye grass which makes it so much nicer to play in the yard.  It will be a sad day when the heat arrives and burns it all up.  Hoping for green grass and a sprinkler system for a summer project.

This is Brazos, favorite dump truck.  It is a hand me down from Pecos that is in pretty good shape, at least for now.  Brazos likes to push it all over the yard while Pecos and I play soccer or throw the football.

Got a decent shot of the boys together.

And one just of Pecos.

And a few for the fans of Charolais kitty.  He joins us in the yard nearly every afternoon and sticks around until Brazos get too rough.  But I rarely take any pics of him so thought I'd share with everyone who has heard about our infamous Charolais kitty.

100 days

January 30, 2012- Pecos had to make a poster with 100 things on it to celebrate 100 days of school.

He chose cattle brands.

The kids had fun all day counting to 100 with so many different activities.  After lunch they went out to the football field to make the number 100 on the field.

And release 100 balloons.  A few of the moms of the kids went to Kerrville to pick up 100 helium filled balloons for the release.  Needless to say the wind picked up just as we were getting them out of our SUVs.  They didn't all fly away but they managed to get into the biggest jumbled knot you can imagine.  Mix with that the tremendous excitement from the kids when they saw these surprise balloons and you have a level of crazy that only a kindergarten teacher could love.

caught red handed

January 2012- I caught him red handed.  He pulled every last wipe out of the tub.  He didn't even try to pretend he didn't do it.  It was only about a quarter full so I imagine if it were completely full he would have pulled those all out too.  This situation is sure to repeat itself, probably with an entire roll of toilet paper.

a few of my favorite things

Just wanted to start the New Year by sharing a few of my favorite things:
