baby brazos

May 25, 2010- Brazos Owen Worrell arrived at 7:14am on May 25th, weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces and 21 inches long.

He looks so much like Pecos I'm going to have to make sure I label all future photos very well so I don't get them confused.  Everything went well and we are just overwhelmed with happiness.  We are truly blessed to have two beautiful and healthy boys.
Pecos is such a proud big brother and so helpful in taking care of him.   I love this picture because I think the look on Pecos' face says something like "just wait until you are bigger, I'm gonna teach you everything I know!"

Brazos meets Oma & Opa (Casey's parents):

Brazos with Mimi & Paw Paw:
Snug as a bug in a rug- (or a hospital baby box).
Can you tell the difference?
Going home on May 27th:

i'm a star

May 24, 2010- Pecos had his end of the year school program at Harper Head Start with quite the fan base in attendance.  This was the night before I was scheduled to go in to have Brazos so MiMi & Paw Paw were in town and got to see the program; and of course, Oma & Opa were there too.  It was really cute and the kids had practiced this for weeks.  Pecos would come home from school and tell me they practiced but that was it...he was tight-lipped on any of the details.  Kind of ironic, really, since he can't manage to keep any other secrets.

For the song "I'm a Star", the kids wore these glasses.  Look closely....yes, that is my child wearing his glasses upside down.  Maybe he needs another year at school.
Showing off the paintings they made for the program.  I asked him why he painted a rainbow and flower and he said he wasn't sure.
Accepting his certificate for completion of a year of 3-year-old pre-school.  He was so proud- and so are we!!

pecos fun day

May 16, 2010- With construction on the house keeping us busy and getting ready for the arrival of baby worrell we thought a day of fun away from the house would be great for all of us.  One last chance for the three of us before we become a family of four.  We called it Pecos fun day...and a day of fun it was!
We checked in to La Cantera hotel/resort in San Antonio and first on the list of fun was their "fun zone" with inflatable water slides and a bounce house.

Then it was off for a quick dip in the kiddie pool and about 100 trips down the water slide.  The nice part was we went on Sunday afternoon when most people had checked out from the weekend and not many more were checking in because school was not yet out.  We nearly had the entire pool area to ourselves!

Pecos was having some issues with the lining of his suit getting "wedged" where he didn't want it.  The entire march back to the steps of the slide looked like this:
After a day in the water we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for some fun.

And then s'mores back at the hotel.

The next day it was more swimming!!  Pecos had a great time but was totally and completely exhausted by the 24-hours of fun!
