lake rats

July 2012- We spent a weekend at Lake LBJ with great friends and their kiddos.  We had so much fun and the boys have already asked when we can go back.  

Even though we had access to the lake the boys had just as much fun in the kiddie pool.

The kiddie pool may have ended up a little dirtier than the lake water thanks to this.

The kids had so much fun swimming and tubing but the annual water fight may be their favorite.  The guys filled up this ice chest with water bomb balloons.  

But the moms {okay mostly me- I'm the guilty one} were a little sneaky.  I snuck several of the water balloons up to the balcony while everyone was out boating.  Then as the kids and dads did water balloon toss and soaked each other with the balloons we stood up on the balcony to take pictures.  After they were all out of balloons we called them all together so we could get a picture.  And then we soaked them with our supply and they really couldn't throw any of them back because we all had expensive cameras in our hands!

Pecos thought he wanted to try water skiing, but quickly changed his mind and said he just wanted to stand in them to see what they felt like on his feet.

He had fun tubing.

Maybe next year we can get a bigger tube for Casey and both boys to ride together.
